Student Information Systems Analyst
A popular client of ours in Cranfield is currently looking for a Student Information Systems Analyst to join them on a permanent basis.
This role is to provide the technical development and configuration of the student information systems, based around SITS but including integration with other systems, in line with University development quality standards. This includes definition and programming of workflows within the system to streamline/automate business processes, and the specification of data structures.
The role is also responsive in nature and will require the ability to interact with users on a daily basis with regards to 2nd line support queries as those arise.
Additionally, the ability to positively interact with the user base on requirements analysis, prototype evaluation, testing and delivery of training is vital.
Developing new functionality to meet business requirements through software analysis, programming and configuration whilst ensuring an overall strategic solution for the University. This involves evaluating software, liaison with consultants, creating technical development plans, developing the functionality, integration with other IT systems, testing the application, implementing the application, evaluating outcome and modifying application as required. Preparation of technical documentation at each stage of the development process including system support documentation for team colleagues.
Application system upgrade support and implementation of regular updates as issued by 3rd party supplier.
- Significant experience of the complete SDLC in a structured environment working on business applications.
- Functionality development on a complex relational database.
- Understanding of data relationships in a complex relational database.
- Advanced user support in back end client/server and web application environments for resolving L2 and L3 service calls
