Procurement / Finance Assistant
Our client based in Cranfield is a world-renowned, exclusively postgraduate University specialising in Creating Leaders in Technology and Management. We are currently seeking an Assistant to join our Procurement \ Finance Team.
Helping to organise purchasing activities this individual will promote the efficient acquisition of goods and services across the University, ensuring that purchase orders are accurately raised for all financial commitments and that items are ordered through the right sources of supply.
The successful candidate will ideally hold the CIPS Foundation Level qualification (or equivalent) or will be able to demonstrate previous experience gained through working in a busy procurement office on a range of different tasks, including reviewing requisitions, raising purchase orders, maintaining a supplier database and dealing with invoice to order variations.
Working to a high level of accuracy this individual will have the ability to work independently to manage workload to meet set deadlines. Customer focused they will be able to communicate effectively and will be able to convey numerical information to non-financial managers and will work independently with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to manage workloads to meet the deadlines set.

Hours of work
37 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday. Flexible working will be considered
£20,152 to £22,462 per annum with additional performance related pay up to £25,834 per annum
